Dr. Monica Markus
Monica Markus is psychologist and methodologist. As senior researcher.
She is involved in the Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM) line within both child and adolescent psychiatry and forensic youth psychiatry.
Her PhD was in psychometrics on the subject of “Bootstrap confidence regions in nonlinear multivariate analyses (NLMVA)”. The research question of this project was: “Under what conditions, if any, are confidence regions generated by the bootstrap, valid indicators of the sampling variability of NLMVA parameters?” Within her current projects, she is particularly interested in topics on the edge of substantive research and methodology.
She currently is co-promoter and investigator of a research project that aims at understanding the mechanisms underlying the transgenerational transmission of anxiety disorders, paying special attention to childrearing behavior as perceived by parents and children. In line with this study, she has developed a project on instrument development in the field of parent-child interaction (EMBU-C and EMBU-P).
